Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Metal Vision app for Meta Quest (the "app") and this website.
Summary
Strawberry Digital never receives any information about you from the app. The app sends nothing to us or to any third party, and the app itself makes no network connections. The settings and records it keeps (listed below) are stored only on your headset, and only you can delete them.
What the app stores on your device
- Your picture-offset settings. The horizontal and vertical offset you set between the two eyes' pictures, in degrees and prism diopters, with the date and time of each change, and the headset's lens-spacing (IPD) number at the time.
- Session records. Date, length, the settings used, which activities you completed, and whether you ended a session early.
- App preferences. For example, the timer length.
The app uses these only to run itself: to show the two pictures at your settings, to run the session timer, and to show you your own history. They are kept in the app's private storage on the headset until you delete them or uninstall the app. We have no way to read them.
What the app does not do
No accounts. No analytics. No advertising. No third-party software that collects data. No cloud sync. No use of the microphone, cameras, or location. The app does not connect to the internet.
Meta platform services
Installing the app, and once it is listed downloading it from the Meta Horizon Store, along with the headset's own system features, is handled by Meta Horizon OS and the store under Meta's privacy policy, not this one. Meta may show us aggregate statistics about the app (for example install counts or crash reports) through its developer tools. Those come from Meta's systems, not from anything the app sends, and they do not identify you to us.
Sharing and export
Data leaves your headset only if you choose to export a summary (a planned feature, for example to show your eye doctor). You decide whether to export and where it goes.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. If you have any trouble, email ops@strawberrydigital.llc and a person will walk you through it.
Children
Metal Vision is not directed to children under 13 and collects personal information from no one, including children. Meta Quest headsets may not be used by anyone under 10; the app is intended for teens and adults (13+).
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no forms. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may process standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site. If you email us, including to ask for an early build, we keep your address and message only to reply and to send you what you asked for. We do not add you to any list, share your address, or use it for anything else, and we delete the thread when it is no longer needed.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Earlier versions are available on request.
